This is one of my favourite science experiments with kids when there is fresh snow. Super simple and uses ingredients you probably already have at home.
You can also repeat this multiple times around your yard with different colours!
Supplies:
Disposable cup or mason jar
Food colouring
Baking soda
Vinegar
Fresh snow
Instructions
Add baking soda to your cup or jar (I found it worked better the more baking soda it had).
Add food colouring of choice
Place cup on the ground and build the volcano around it. Keep the opening clear.
Pour vinegar and watch :)
**Warning- be careful with the food colouring, if you’re like me you’ll get it all over your hand.
